Jessie is a Seattle-based visual and experiential graphic designer. Working at the intersection of the built environment and visual communication, she seeks to explore methods of environmental storytelling that provide more engaging and fulfilling experiences. A firm believer in the transformative power of thoughtful design, she puts her multidisciplinary background to use pursuing creative endeavors in a more holistic and meaningful way. Project experience includes signage systems for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Guggenheim Foundation and Museum offices, and Holt Renfrew; exhibition and print graphics for the Brooklyn Museum; working with the Westfield Group to modernize their retail destinations; and Genki Sushi's first location in the continental United States.
Jessie earned her MS in Communications Design at Pratt Institute and her Bachelor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is a licensed architect in the state of Washington and has been a LEED AP since 2005.
When not EGDing, she can be found spending time with her husband and pug, exploring and taking in the beauty (both natural and manmade) that surrounds her, rooting for the Dodgers, treating her ears to some tunes, and catching up on the news.
Though not currently active as an experiential graphic designer, Jessie is putting all of her design knowledge to good use as an owner-operator at Ladd & Lass Brewing.
