Signage
The signage at the Guggenheim offices reflects the minimalistic design of the space and neutral color palette found throughout. The reception area sets the tone with monochromatic dimensional letters. And all room signs are white featuring dark gray typography—with removable lenses provided at all of the offices.

Experiential Graphics
Inspired by the user group’s affinity for nature, the design is a combined celebration of location—in the form of local flora and icons—and the company’s commitment to sustainable practices.
The main design gesture is a series of wooden slats located along the main circulation path. In addition to breaking up the length of the long corridor walls, the slats feature messaging explaining the company’s green initiatives and assist in navigating to major destinations. Located by the kitchen, a large game of Memory featuring Las Vegas icons brings some levity to the workplace.

Visual Identity
Originally founded as Gilda’s Club Seattle, Cancer Pathways is a community-focused nonprofit that advocates for anyone affected by cancer—in the form of free educational and support programs.
Starting to expand nationally, the goal was to 1) refresh the existing Cancer Pathways logo to better reflect their evolution as an organization and 2) bring a visual consistency to the program logos. The primary Cancer Pathways logo maintains the original inspiration of paths and now includes a family of responsive marks. While the Cancer Pathways logo was a refresh of an existing mark, the program logos were redesigned to better respond to their specific audiences (i.e. children & teens, parents, and workplace environments).

With a nearly 200-year-old heritage, luxury retailer Holt Renfrew was seeking a nationwide repositioning effort. Currently lost in a brand-intense shopping mall landscape, the design goal is to both elevate and increase visibility of the Holt Renfrew brand.
With a simple palette of materials and colors, directional information is seamlessly integrated into the architecture, allowing shoppers to engage only when desired while the services signage invokes just the right amount of personality to draw one’s eye. The overall system works to enhance the sophisticated shopping experience found at Canada’s largest luxury retailer.

Exhibition Graphics
A self-taught artist with encyclopedic and cross-cultural interests, Jean-Michel Basquiat was influenced by comics, advertising, children’s sketches, Pop art, hip-hop, politics, and everyday life. Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks emphasizes the distinct interplay of text and images in Basquiat’s art, providing unprecedented insight into the importance of writing in the artist’s process.
The exhibition graphics are minimal with wall text and pull quotes framed by red and blue rules that recall the composition notebooks favored by the artist and a sans serif typeface inspired by Basquiat’s bold and deliberate penmanship. Featured prominently on the title wall is a large reproduction of a previously unseen Lee Jaffe photograph of the artist.

A Year with Children 2014 showcases the artwork of 2nd through 6th grade students participating in the Guggenheim Museum’s Learning Through Art (LTA) program. Founded in 1970, LTA places teaching artists into New York City public schools in all five boroughs to provide yearlong art residencies that support the curriculum while developing artistic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Inspired by the signature image, the exhibition graphics incorporate the color purple throughout the installation with the title wall mimicking the layers of transparency found in the watercolor piece. In addition to the exhibition graphics, a print invitation and exhibition poster was also designed.
